The two adult victims were identified by police as a 29-year-old man who was seriously injured and a 47-year-old man who suffered lighter injuries. Police said the girl was also lightly injured. All three were taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident appears to have begun with a dispute before the stabbing, but investigators said the background remained unclear. A police spokesperson said officers were first called to a reported altercation and that the exact sequence of events on the street in front of the house had not yet been established.
Local reporting cited by *Der Spiegel* said a witness saw a man with a large knife attack several children who were sitting near the building entrance. Police did not confirm that detail, but they did say the suspect was detained shortly after the attack in a nearby apartment building.
Authorities also corrected an initial age report for the child victim, saying police first described the injured girl as 12 before later revising that to 11. The correction underscores that the case was still in its early stage when details were first being released.
Police said crime scene specialists were securing evidence and interviewing witnesses on the night of the attack. At that point, they said there was still no reliable information on the identity of the suspect or the victims beyond the ages and injuries already released.
The immediate priority for investigators was containment and evidence collection. Police said the area around the scene was cordoned off and emergency crews were deployed in force, reflecting the seriousness of the response.
